i too was going to pose this same question today and unfortunately (though it is no one's fault), the archives are a bit tough to navigate with no topic headings... maybe if those of us who feel comfortable in their knowledge would like to post their wisdom on or off list to interested parties and there not be a debate... people seem interested in the topic, which seems reason enough to discuss... nat

I am also interested in this thread, please cc me on any off list iscussion - Not so much Mac vs PC debate, but more as a PC owner who has been cruelly exposed to Mac only beasts such as MetaSynth etc...any comparable PC programs? I heard of an Australian piece of software called Audio..something...perhaps as the name is so forgettable this is why I dont hear much about it? ....IDM - making list? not that IM making IDM.......More DRM (Dumb Rock Music) ----- Original Message ----- From: nat hawks <natbot@hotmail.com> To: <flutterby@loop.com>; <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: Saturday, October 06, 2001 4:16 AM Subject: Re: [idm] mac vs pc
