V/Vm is some of the best pop music i've heard in a long while, witty and irreverent and still great to listen to. I've always been partial to The Caretaker cd myself. We play it at dinner parties and my little one plays V/Vm at her tea parties, she says it "gives an atmosphere". How can you not enjoy a little vocoder every so often? CHOMPaROO rebecca

the thing that scares me about sick love is that, no matter how good it sounds to us now, after there assorted distortions, infections and general fucking up, they had to listen to all of the tracks present quite a lot of times before they realized what they where going to do with it who can really handle cris de burg more than once??(although i love what they did with it) listening to sick love and then remembering all the original versions of these songs is almost for my one tracked mind to handle, bad bad memories(the 80's popular culture) v/vm are terrorists, but whats life without a little destruction added for effect:) _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I'm listening to a tune called female pig herder by V/VM and really digging it. Is this indicative of most of their stuff (noise and bleep bloops)? And if so, any recommendations of V/VM or similar artists? -matT nashville.tn --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

V/VM specialise in 'remixing' other peoples tracks, usually ruining them in the process - but that's the point. Most of it is very noisy, very cut up and at moments pure genius. My personal favourite is the True Steppers remix they did. They have a load of MP3s to download so you can listen for yourself. A good place to start would be the Green Door album, though it's not for everyone. http://www.brainwashed.com/vvm They also release some stuff they record themselves but haven't heard any of it.

That's an understatment. That album is horrible. Just a bunch of crappy tunes to which all they did was add distortion. Only good thing i've heard from V/VM was the split they did on fatcat. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
