Er... I've got the Mu Ziq double lp on vinyl and it's for sale if anybody's interested. It wasn't really my cup of tea. Do I get in trouble for selling stuff here? I only wanted to be useful because you folks have trouble getting hold of Rephlex stuff. Is there anyone who would be willing to tape the mu-ziq album for me? It's kind of important, because I want to review it in the music mag and I haven't seen any copies around. I suppose I could ask Rephlex for a copy but it would probably take months before I got it... Tape trade, anyone? - chris@minsk.docs.uu.se

There should be no problem getting the MuZiq LP here in the UK. We distribute the LP, and any shop with an account with any of 20 different wholesalers can order it. The same goes for the US, in that Watts (and any other importer) can get it from any one of half a dozen UK exporters. If your local shop can't get it, tell them to get in touch with us, and we'll point them in the right direction. Don't take no for an answer !! CD release is scheduled for late march. Yeah, come on Rephlex, I'm aching for this, are you trying to punish us sad people that don't buy vinyl? Anyhow, I hear he is playing on friday at the Rocket (Holloway Rd, London), along with Renegade Sound Wave and Global Communication (+others). Most of the DJs for the night seem to be junglist (Bukem?). Any IDMers goin'? Hi All, Has anyone seen the article in NME this week on Mu-Ziq. Apparently he has signed a deal with a subsidury of virgin records to set up his own label (Planet Mu) and to release something like 6 albums. He also has the freedom to record for other labels... so it won't stop him recording on other labels. Don't know whether the article is true, a bit of a belated April Fools if it isn't true. In the July issue of Details, there's an Astralwerks ad on page 78. After big ads for ISDN, Global Chillage and Freaky Chakra, in tiny print there is an ad for other upcoming releases, the first one being: u-ZIQ - ep. Can any of the Astralwerks guys on this list tell us what this is? Is it the Auteurs thing, phi1700 or something new? Phil

It is a brand new ep called Salsa With Mesquite; there will also be a new album (the title of which escapes me at the moment) this Fall as well. Peter Wohelski Astralwerks
