Hello, all. Thanks for bearing with us and thanks to everyone who's been coming out to the shows. The support has been truly appreciated. All options have been explored and all steps taken to re-calibrate the tour to make it work without Mr. Pusher. We'd really love to complete the entire tour, but, with Tom's absence, the mathematics of income and expenses (both promoters and the groups)has made it a challenge. So, do we need to contact TicketMaster and get our money back for the tickets we bought for the show(s) that are now cancelled? Do we need to buy new tix for this show? I second that. I know there must have been some politics/money involved in cancelling the Austin show as well, but Warp knows the Ae show (held in May AFTER all the UT students went home) sold out and was packed in tight at Mercury, and subsequent (and smaller) IDM acts have been building up the venue's credibility as a smart destination. Plaid would have packed the place all by themselves, let alone in tandem with Calix. People on the coasts are gonna have to start gettin' over thinking of the center of the country as "fly-over" states. Believe you me, we're trying to do just that more often and the original tour route and AE's tour can attest to that. If we could have kept the tour all the way to Dallas we would, but the costs getting folks over from the UK and beyond is very expensive to do and maintain (and getting more expensive thanks to the US government and INS). Yeah. If you bought tix from TicketMaster over the internet or by phone, you gotta mail them back to them. If you bought them from a store, you just return them to the store. I, unfortunately, have to mail them back. And as much as I'd like to seep Plaid again at the Bowery (saw them open for Goldfrapp a few months ago), Monday night? No, sorry.
