"Dynamic Obsolescence" by Dykehouse is fucking
deadly sick; so much so that I haven't been able to
pull my ears away. The analogue melodies, ace rhythm
programming, and right-on track sequencing make this a
true *album*- something you can listen to straight
through and feel a sense of beginning and completion.
Does anybody else notice how he uses many drum sounds
from Tri Repetae and other Autechre releases? I also
heard a booming, heavily processed kick in track 4
that was taken from Squarepusher. Some might chide
that but I love it! If you buy only one new IDM and/or
Mu release- make it this one!
