has anyone heard the newest release off worm interface, 'dunderhead-bee cave sounds'? the press release makes it sound very interesting (and good), but i'm always wary of such things. i enjoyed dunderhead's track on alt. frequencies 3 if that's any reference. thanks, r. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

r. Bee Cave Sounds is *very* jazzy, featuring a live trumpet/sax combo over Nigel's usual muted d'n'b rhythms tweaked down to chill tempo. It's sultry, sexy, seductive IDM...but not entirely connected to his earlier work. I've had it for a bit now and like it for its relaxed feel. The bass is deep, the melodies--which are defined by the traditional instruments--are key to getting/enjoying the album. Dancy at points, but not quickish. When he played live at SXSW last March, he ran pretty much wide open with a trombone/sax combo with the percussion/rhythm elements on loop (which reflects pretty much how the thing was recorded). laz On Mon, 23 Jul 2001 12:47:26 -0500 you wrote:
