Autechre are up their own asses...thank god that they are too...thats why I love 'em... Their music sounds silly, glitchey, mixed up, chopped up, and random...then again, listen to some Captain Beefheart and you'll think all the musicians are playing randomly...if it weren't for the fact that you can feel the inspired genius behind it all... Hmmm....is Beefy and Ae a decent pair to compare with each other??? :) RoNAn P.S. Obviously I don't want to restart an old flame war, but would someone who doesn't get Confield please email me and explain what they find so hard about it? I'm not going to try and convert you or anything, but I just don't understand where the listening difficulty is. I think it's pretty easy compared to tracks like Yeesland from Cichli Suite.
