I mis-addressed this yesterday, but I thought I should introduce myself. Hi, I'm new to the list and just wanted to say hi. I like IDM a great deal but I'm not all that knowledgeable about it - don't have much money or selection to buy music. So I am mostly familiar with Autechre and Aphex Twin, and I also like Matmos and Boards of Canada but don't have much of their stuff. I make my own electronic music too. I've been making psychedelic trance for a few years, and since I discovered Ae a couple of years back I've been dabbling in IDM, as it seems more 'natural' to my taste of sound design and semi-random keyboard walking that I've done since I was a kid. Lately this has become more serious and I'm making some off the wall stuff which I quite like. I live in the west of Ireland, in a town (?) called Limerick, which I am sad to report is an utter musical wasteland.
