I think Kid A and Ok Computer are a little better, but Amnesiac is still pretty damn good. I believe most of the material on Amnesiac were recorded from the same sessions that Kid A are from. I know they performed many of the tunes from Amnesiac on the Kid A tour. The tune "Like Spinning Plates" sounds like Thom had to sing the song backward and then they the vocals backwards to come out forward. Sort of like the midget character in Twin Peaks. Pretty awesome tune!!

It's different in some parts and the same in others. To quote the liner notes: "These recordings where (sp) made on location at the same time as Kid A" I spent all day listening to it at work and I'll likely listen to it well into the night. It's loverly. Also, if you're one of the group of (apparently many) people who were bummed out about Kid A cause it didn't really sound like Ok Computer this album will likely be alot more appealing. Not that it sounds like Ok Computer (sorry if I got anyone's hopes up) but there's more traditional "radioheadish" stuff here than on Kid A.

Absolutely no idea. That's what keeps me interested.

I have a theory about "track 6" on cd's... they're almost always my favorite. This theory is enforced with Amnesiac.

Buy it.

Confield is the best autechre album ever.

See, now I don't get why people who are into Radiohead would expect them to do another album that sounded the same as Ok Computer. I mean, they have traditionally brought their music to a different level with each release. Ironically, Kid A and Amnesiac are the most similar albums they have released since Pablohoney. Why would you want to listen to a band who rehashed their old music in the first place? I don't know, I don't typically listen for artists in that realm of thinking. I want to see them change because if it is an expression of themselves, the music will change with them. Just a thought.

Mine used to be track 3, but lately it has been really random.

Disagree, but I do love it. :-) I like Amber the best.

It's difficult to make such comparison. They are similar in many aspects, but quite different in others. It seems that "Amnesiac" is more "guitar and song" oriented. On the other side, "Kid A" had some marvelous songs too. "Amnesiac" is, again, a Radiohead's look into the seventies (like in "OK Computer"), but strongly influenced by electronica (Autechre, Aphex Twin) and less retro.

Have no idea. It will depend of many things, but I don't see Thom Yorque and Jonny Greenwood going back to "The Bends" sounds...

It's my favourite Radiohead album ever!!!

It's better than "OK Computer" ;)
