Huh -it might just be a matter of taste, I find arpeggios in general to be
kind of flat. Not into trance or italo for this reason. I think something
like "NYC" by Burial is extremely melodically rich - much more so than the
leads melodic leads on Nightmarket and Loner. Loner is a great example of
the Empty-Ass Trance Glory Feel I don't care for.
I feel you about the vinyl noise thing but its part of the deal - it's
music that makes no bones about fetishizing the past. It would be sick if
he cut really clean version of the tracks to put on vinyl and the cd had
the surface noise samples.
