I'm not interested in arguing whether or not Talvin Singh is IDM or not... but I heard his new album "Ha" the other day and I'm more than impressed. "OK" was such an incredible disc and stood out among the tired big beat electronica sounds, and "Ha" is true to that sound... love those tablas!!! Anyone else hear or own this yet? (I opted for the new Foetus album instead... I've only waited over 5 years for this thing!!!!) -djgyn np: Bjork- "Alarm Call" ===== ======= "GASR" -(Accession recording artists)- << http://gasr.somewhere.net >> << http://www.accession-records.com >> "Transmissions From Scumsburg" -(Industrial Radio Show)- << http://www.angelfire.com/ma/scumsburg/ >> __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I agree about Ha, just listened to it the other night and I like it a lot. It seemed a lot more focused than OK, which I liked when I first heard it but never seem to go back to. Apparently Singh has built a studio in Bombay and is recording Indian musicians there. agreed... haven't heard previous releases, just tracks here and there, but Ha is pretty excellent. surprised to see it mentioned here amid all the bullshit posts and the glitch worship [not really idm at all imo]. anyone recommend anything else in this vein [previous talvin singh releases or otherwise] much appreciated... actually looking forward to the vvm joy division release... and i'm one of those 'ian curtis is god' types... *********** REPLY SEPARATOR *********** On 5/12/2001 at 8:25 AM John von Seggern wrote:
