Good evening, We'll be visiting Berlin this month. Does anyone have some recommendations of gigs/performances/events we should visit? Or any platform to search for those? Thanks a lot

Try going to Berghain. If you get passed the bouncer Sven Marquardt after the long cue, it´s definitely a cool underground experience. soundcloud.com/deltafoxx <http://www.soundcloud.com/deltafoxx> soundcloud.com/quizzik <http://www.soundcloud.com/quizzik> On Fri, Sep 23, 2016 at 8:48 AM, Gediminas Petrikas <gedas18@gmail.com> wrote:

My problem with Berghain is I can't reconcile "get passed the bouncer after the long queue" with "a cool underground experience". I went to some space that was in an old swimming pool facility, what's the name of that? Brian On Fri, 23 Sep 2016, Quizzik wrote:

hahaha I know what you mean. Shitty door policy sucks. I´ve been there once and I was lucky to get inside. I certainly would be mad if I didn´t get in. Dunno that pool place. It it the garden ambient outside the building? I got out of the venue before the garden place opened in the morning. Although I liked the "all dark gabba vibe" of main floor with that high ceiling and those large stairs, I loved the Panorama Bar slower techno. soundcloud.com/deltafoxx <http://www.soundcloud.com/deltafoxx> soundcloud.com/quizzik <http://www.soundcloud.com/quizzik> On Fri, Sep 23, 2016 at 10:41 AM, Brian Behlendorf <brian@hyperreal.org> wrote:

The old swimming pool was Sattbad Wedding, which is unfortunately no longer used... Was closed like a lot of monumental and great clubs now have been... (Bar 25, Morlox). http://stattbad.net/ SO, to avoid the long Berghain line either go on Sunday morning or I can highly recommend Griessmuehle! Berghain has to be seen once but yeah agreed... fuck lining up for 2 hours for a 30% chance of getting in... griessmuehle is much more low key and you can be lucky and catch some awesome music there.... On a different not, A Trane jazz bar is also a hit if you like to mix it up... a real swingin Berlin feel. at about:blank this saturday there is a very nice party with Alienata (dj set) and lives from Kamikaze Space Progamme and DEZ Williams. Just get there early to avoid a line. I've seen all of them before and it's very good stuff. ( https://www.residentadvisor.net/event.aspx?869127 ) I really recommend checking Berghain. Just go sunday before 3pm (last sunday around 4pm there was no line for example). also, if you get rejected, try again after 6pm as they change the bouncers. and don't go there wasted otherwise they will reject you :) another option is going early on sunday (like 10am), get the stamp, and then come back later... once inside, stay as long as you can.. sunday nights in berghain are magical madness for those who like techno and clubbing :) oh, and Boris is djing in the garden sunday 5pm. his sets are very nice if you are into modular synths etc, check Schneidersladen in Kottbusser Tor. and while I agree that griessmuehle is super nice as a venue, it's better to go when you know there is something good happening there. it's not always great music. enjoy berlin On Fri, Sep 23, 2016 at 4:13 PM, Nicholas D <nick@mindfieldrecords.net> wrote:

Hi, not directly related to gigs of events, but to sound. If you have the time, it’s worth going to Teufelsberg (former NSA listening station), 30mn S-Bahn from the center of Berlin. Urban art is fantastic, it’s a beautiful place, but more, it is an incredible acoustic experience when you’re in the dome, really ! Just whisper or clap your hands. Not fully off topic, I think ! 2016-09-23 13:48 GMT+02:00 Gediminas Petrikas <gedas18@gmail.com>:
