What's is the usual method for raising or lowering bpm in a set? Is it pitch adjustment in intro's and outro's of tracks, or do dj' use drum machine interludes between tracks to change bpm to the target bpm in slow increments? Typically I will change the BPM of a track either during a nice long break or slowly as the record plays. If doing it while the beats are in full swing it has a really nice effect of either getting the crowd *more* amped up or mellowing them out. If you do it over a long enough period of time (1 or 2 minutes) it's almost a subconscious thing for them...
