Well, I'm still on my second listen regarding this (hey, it's 3 full CDs
after all), and I have to say that I quite like it; I also liked the
first one, but somehow the Kid606 track was quite a turn-off with all
the nonfitting noisy outbreaks... :/ (then again, his track on the new
comp. is much better...)
As for other comps I'd currently recommend (not the newest ones, I
admit, but I can't remember there being much talk about those here):
Did You Hear? on Defocus - sounds like an update to the Artificial
Intelligence comps. on WARP to me - and I mean that in a positive way,
mind you - and no, this doesn't mean it sounds dated... (got it from
WARPMart, which seems quite fitting, BTW... :)
Total 2 on Kompakt - starting off with an aggressive track from Reinhard
Voigt, which is not exactly what I was used to after hearing his Sturm,
Sturmgesten and Premiere World albums, it's got both very dancy tracks
as well as more ambient pieces, and good ones (IMHO) at that...
Oh well, make what you want of this - I know I suck at reviews... ^_^
