two things, there is a cool autechre mailing list on yahoo groups and most
autechre discusions pop up on the IDM-making list on yahoo groups.
second thing, if you do not understand what most of us mean by saying that
'there is something missing in the new autechre' i suggest you check out the
following tunes by them
1. Vose in
2. Vietrmx
3. Envane - the entire disc, every track is super cool in a glitchy/melody
way
4. Anvil Vapre - the whole ep is great
5. Lp5 - id say this release was the peak of their complexity interwined
with unbeleivably catchy emotional melodies and glitch/beats
....come to think of it, most of autechre has melody and soul and confield
is just not clicking, something has definately changed. perhaps this is the
result of there algorythmic experiments in max/msp or reaktor or whatever.
anyway, looking forward to the new release by RDJ( if ever) and watching
this list have a melt down ;-D
