monolake. first album hongkong uses captured environmental sounds incuding crickets etc for those that like insects. interstate album also utilises these kind of chirpings. both fantastic albums. chain reaction - not warp. hint. ____________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Isn't Interstate on their own "ML/I" label? http://www.monolake.de/mli.html And about insecty sounds, Monolake's one-track "Desert EP" sounds like that, methinks. And re: Warp vs The World, anytime any label has been around a while, it's suddenly no longer in style to think they're good. It's the old underdog syndrome, I think. Besides, I think every label ever mentioned on this list has had its fair share of "list time." It just has to do with what they have out at the time and how much people want to talk about it.
