as i said before, i have a Funkstorung live performance in which 3 songs
they perform also appear on the Crunch cd. but i was quickly told that they,
in fact, are not Funkstorung and that their identity is perfectly clear (i
cant remember who it is now, but im sure someone will).
otherwise. i'd second the album. not for those who've had their fill of
so-called "autechre-clones". i dont buy into the autechre-clone hype, but it
has the sound that would definitely drive someone people to make that
categorization. i dont quite hear all the similarities to "Amber" (except
for maybe the first track), but i do hear a less abrasive Funkstorung and at
times a more abrasive BoC.
