for some reason I want to hear some good ol' Acid house. What's a good compilation of note? Anyone? I'm looking for some stuff circa 90 or so, but a history of all of it works, too. Some people recommended Hardfloor and that is definitely a good choice even though that's more German acid trance than acid house. Their best tracks are undoubtedly "Acperience 1", "Into the Nature"& "Confuss" - Basically, of all their albums, I think you will be most pleased with "TB Resuscitation"... As for acid house which is 2 to 5 years older than Hardfloor, it's really hard to find a comprehensive compilation. Classic tracks include: D Mob: "We Call It Acieeed" Free Force: "M.I.R.C.O." Trilithon: "Choice" The Project: "Do That Dance" Digital Boys: "Kokko" The KLF: "What Time Is Love ?" Zsa Zsa La Boum: "Something Scary" (that I heard Aphex Twin spin last year) Phuture: "Mental Breakdown" Maurice: "This Is Acid" ... and many others... but not that many managed to pass the test of time and still sound good until techno went bigger around '92, so be careful... Actually, all tracks besides the ones by Hardfloor came out around '88 or even before (believe me, I checked :-) ). That was sort of the whole point of the mix. Andrei Topher wrote:
