which is sorta funny considering Scott himself wrote (in a message that appeared on this list a month or two ago) that the "Delarosa and Asora" music was kind of a joke-side-project kind of thing, and that he wouldn't be making more of it... -adam --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Wow. That's horribly sad because I think the Delarosa and Asora works are Scott's best. Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of Prefuse 73 and Savath and Savalas but none of that stuff floored me like Agony. That he considers it a joke is beyond my comprehension.

okay, that's not what he said : "you should be questioning "delarosa+asora"!!!that's just me getting krunked on my MPC experimenting with tempos and structure without any attachment or guidelines whatsoever. this surely doesn't represent the south, this project represents me exploring how to freak out beats and writing a few joints for my girl, which has nothing to do with anyone but myself. my schematic peeps supported it, put it out on their label and now it's deceased, R.I.P..." --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Thanks for the clarification. Let me just say that I would rather listen to Scott fuck about with his sequencer than listen to some of these other artists put their heart and soul into an album. As far as his comment about D&A not representing the south, I wasn't aware that he was attempting to reflect the political, geographical, artistic, etc. nature of his surroundings. JML
