No, I don't believe he has released it yet. However, I went to a lecture he
gave a few months ago about the Skotodesk thing, and he demoed the software
for a reasonably-sized crowd.
I think the reaction was mostly something like, "This program is really
nothing to write home about." Basically, it seemed to be a wave looper with
controls for pitch, panning, and volume adjustment. The interface was
unorthodox (not to say confusing and too loud for my taste), but nothing at
all interesting in the way of sound design, as far as I could tell.
It was really too bad -- I left the lecture with a really sour taste in
my mouth. Not so much about the disappointing software (in fact, that
almost made me admire him even more as a musician) as about his views on
music, which were confused, confusing, and even a little bit nihilistic.
Without sounding particularly fresh, somehow. What a shame, because I am
*deeply* in love with most of his music that I've heard.
