well...as a former contributor to Skinny.com, no one was sadder to see it
go. It was an intelligent, well laid out publication- one of my favorites
to write for.Darren Keast, the content editor, is a man bursting with
knowledge and writing skill, and hopefully he's still writing in rare form.
Skinny stopped really updating in bulk last summer around May. It was about
money and time and sponsors and the bitch of _not_ wanting to splash
obnoxious ad banners every where. It's a shame because being based in San
Fran it was in a such a perfect place with all that is going on in that city
between the music and webcast centers.

its really sad that these publications don't last very long. Skinny had its
information architecture problems but it was a pretty good site, I
definitely found out about a lot of stuff through them. I noticed that they
hadn't updated in a while and now they're gone, same with urban sounds.
Urban sounds was a good source as well, slow updates but graphically
beautiful.
well, theres always Facq mag to keep you updated on that gorgeous porn
