Anyone heard the new H3llb3nt album? Looks and sounds very interesting from what I've heard on the site (www.h3llb3nt.com). And of course, I love anything that Bryan Black and Martin Atkins are involved in. Hellbent is an older project that involved Eric Powell of 16 Volt, Bryan Black of Haloblack, and minimal involvement from Dylan from Chemlab (i think there was someone else involved but i can't remember who off the top of my head). Sort of a coldwave/industrial all-stars project... although the resulting sound was definately *not* coldwave-industrial. Anyway i haven't heard the new one but if you dig around you can find the old Hellbent CD on Re-Constriction Records (now defunct, it was a subsidiary of Cargo) which i recommend, if you like that sort of thing. Don't think it really falls under the idm classification, however. --Sharon -----Original Message----- From: Loptimiste@aol.com [mailto:Loptimiste@aol.com] Sent: Sunday, February 11, 2001 3:18 PM To: idm@hyperreal.org Subject: [idm] H3llb3nt Anyone heard the new H3llb3nt album? Heh. Yeah, I know all this. Eric, Bryan, and Jared. On the new album is also Martin Atkins, and Levi Levi. I have both of their old albums... And I think it is relevant to IDM. To me, there are some quite IDMish tracks off of the 2nd album, and from what I've heard, there is some "intelligent" stuff on the new one.. As well as on recent Haloblack tracks... Shit.. Haloblack is even on the IDM web ring :P jared In a message dated 2/12/01 12:23:08 PM, smaher@looksmart.net writes: << Hellbent is an older project that involved Eric Powell of 16 Volt, Bryan Black of Haloblack, and minimal involvement from Dylan from Chemlab (i think there was someone else involved but i can't remember who off the top of my head).
