so, i picked up kid606's "PS, I love you," and really dig it. I have heard only a few mp3s of his stuff ("damn, I'm hard," "i want to join a gang," and a few others) and find almost no similarity between the tracks. which of his releases are in the same vein as his new one on mille plateaux? any recommendations or comments? thx, z. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Just saw the man live in Berlin. What a great sound! And with 2 laptops too:) iris alright two heads are better than one... lucky you iris. I believe that "berliners bars" were equally lucky to see Bit Tonic and Si-(cut).Db play as well... Certainly a cool festival. philippe ************************************************************** http://www.bip-hop.com unconventional sound adventures, adventurous & creative electronica... ************************************************************** BiP-HOp Generation v.1 [bleep 01] MARUMARI / SCHNEIDER TM / PHONEM / GOEM / ULTRA MILKMAIDS / MASSIMO BiP-HOp Generation v. 2 [bleep 02] AROVANE / BERNARD FLEISCHMANN / WARMDESK / KÖHN / WANG INC. / LAURENT PERNICE Bip-Hop is a label devoted to spread unconventional sound adventures, adventurous & creative electronica... sounds, based on machines, mix, modulations, modifications, sampling, glitches, clicks & cuts... blip... bleep... bip... been getting into kid606 over the past year or so. although i like "ps i love you", it was a bit of a shock that it was so fluffy. i felt almost like i was listening to a glitchier hermann & kleine. "the illness EP" is good, but i still prefer "GQ on the EQ++". is there anything else by mr. depedro similar to that one? i picked up the violent turd CD and though the artwork and titles are hysterically clever, and the music has its insane moments, the heisted pop music ruins it for me. d. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Remixes and left-over tracks that didn't make it onto the last album. Couple random demo versions of things. If you liked that one, you'll like this one. The cheerleader song is pretty funny (if you like "funny" in your music)- like L'Trimm or Fannypack with some big beats with a group of cheerleaders trying to convince us that they're not conceited whores. I think he still has to get off the whole ragga/dancehall/dnb tip. It might be the most tired sound on the planet. All his techno, idm, and even his gabber shit is head and shoulders beyond the previous.
