Otto Von Schirach is a 22-year-old German/Cuban living in Miami (roommates with Phoenecia, it says in the press release). In the accompanying photo, he looks as mad as his music sounds. His album, 8000 B.C., comes out on Schematic in early 2001, I think. He has a track on the Rice & Beans comp Psychological Operations In Guerrilla Warfare. His debut album reminds me of Datach'i's work, but it's even more inspiredly spastic and rhythmically convoluted (if that's possible). Be excited if that sort of thing excites you. I just put this up, i thought some people on idm might be interested. It's compressed pretty heavily, but still looks and sounds ok. It's about 16 meg and you can watch it at this page. Aparently it has a different ending than the broadcast version. so has anyone heard this release " escalo frio" yet?? guest appearances by matmos, Dr. Flamenco, Takeshi Muto, Jeswa, Mr. Egyptian hologram, Queeph Brothersm & Mr. Soundwave. pretty crazy stuff, strange mix of idm and hip hop or something. k
