Man, this is list is really pathetic. The girl to guy idm ratio has popped up for the 200th time. There are still wankers trying to defend Windowlicker, and make every single thing RDJ does "Some Brilliant Innovation". Some of you twats will argue that any thing he does genius, even when he goes to the can he must be doing something glorious in there... Being a member of mailing lists ranging anywhere from the Taurus SHO to Korg Triton to IDM, I see this same kind of comment plenty of times in every list. What "galactic funk" fails to accept, grasp, realize or D)All of the Above is....You WILL ALWAYS have redundant talk on any list. A few of the reasons being: NEW MEMBERS - A guy that just bought his first RDJ album *IS* going to defend windowlicker. *I* like it too! Someone who just learned about the list *IS* going to talk about things that have already been talked about. MISSED POSTS - Perhaps I was on this list a long time ago, took off for awhile, and came back. Do you expect me to somehow know each and every topic that has been discussed in my absence? I should hope not. So really, going by your own rules, your own complaining should annoy you, since someone has probably already complained about this same thing already. What I think you should do is A) UNSUBSCRIBE, since you dont think there's anything worth talking about anyway. or B) Do like most of us do. When you see a long thread that you don't care about, go through that painful, time consuming task of selecting said articles and pushing the "Delete" key. Here comes the hard part though, depending on what software you read email with, you might have to CONFIRM the deletion. Don't listen to the voices in your head, just click "OK" and the "Girl/Guy Ratio" will be out of your head, so you can replace it with something much more appealing....perhaps "Girl/Boy Song" by Richard James?

man, this "idm-list" must be pretty lame. it sounds like all they do is post their opinions about music! bleeh!! better mark that one on the "do not join" list! cheers, /derek p.s. really, all it takes to keep the list "on topic" (whatever that means) is to exercise the "reply-to-person" button, often next to the "reply to all" button on many email programs. it will send the email in question to only the individual you wish you correspond to, instead of the entire list. it's quite a novel idea, really. Very true young man. Unfortunately, certain threads go on and on, only to start back up again (too frequently). Some people must feel they can argue their way in to making you like something. They try desperately to convince you are wrong about not liking it. Get over it! If people disagree that's cool, there's no need to turn it into a soap opera and drag it on forever. Of course there are many reasons one could gripe about the list.
