Face it.. In the 17 YEARS Bryn was around doing music.. his own covers,developing his own concept.. releasing his own 12" & Lps at 16.. in TOTAL isolation.. and making over 120 Lps, 12" Mixes.. compilations..in his short life.. Developed his own style, never used samplers.. managed to get sounds out of instruments that were beyond the normal usage.. and still managed to out do most of you Then, Now and EVER... Id say He pisses on most of this so called IDM from a great height.. All this talk on IDM about a "rotation" of artists.. you know who I mean.. and this list consistantly over looks artists like Muslimgauze. Pronounce this... and file it away in your yearly pol. IMHO and knowledge Well, I can say that I'm sure he was with Muslims in this stupid Israeli-Palestinian religios warfare. He named his albums and tracks with proclamations of the Muslim ideas. He was an active supporter of Independent Palestina. Nevertheless, I am a huge fan of his music and I wish he could be with us still and continue to work on his masterpieces... I'll go ahead and tackle this as my first post to the IDM list...I personally like some of his Music and dislike some, after acquiring a fair amount of it I've decided I have more than enough for now... (i.e. it all starts to sound a bit samey-samey) One thing that has dissapointed me though is that on the BSI Systemwide Vs. Muslimgauze release, there is a muslimgauze track that is nothing more than filter tweaking a DR-202 preset pattern. I kind of lost a bit of repect after making that connection...
