dude cut me a fucking break 1) Lp5 and Ep7 are fuckign masterpieces. Even compared to Autechre's prior opuses. 2) ALL music is loops. And manipulations thereof. Name me ONE sort of music that doesnt and, well, I'll fuck a dog or something. Thats how sure I am.

i really like autechre. a lot. but ep7 is poor compared to lp5 in my opinion. its obviously a different inspiration and shouldn't be judged regardless... but still. lp5 has so many beautiful melodies, as well as complex rhythms and "how'd they make that sound" type moments. ep7 is just so... too driven by making strange noises. the beauty of autechre to me has always been their balance of beauty v. complexity. ep7 lost me. i only rarely desire a ep7 listen. i still can't get with the idea that somebody on the list digs cisco. production shmoduction. talking a.
