Oneohtrix Point Never rarely gets mentioned on here. Last mention seems to have been March 2014 and before that R Plus 7 was mentioned as a favourite album of 2013 by quite a few of us - me included. So with that said, it's obvious I really like his stuff and yep, I'm loving G.O.D. If you have listened and care to comment, what do you guys think about G.O.D. and his more recent works i.e. Commissions I and II? Mem p.s. I don't think anybody on here asked each other for favourites of 2014. I'll ask for 2015 favourites at the end of the year if nobody else does by then.

Have you all watched the video for Sticky Drama? Crazy stuff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=td-e4i2BL_Q I love the new album. I'd been looking forward to it since I heard about it. Pretty sure that I was one of the people who had R Plus Seven on their best of '13 lists, and GOD will be on my best of '15, for sure. And I realize that Battles aren't IDM (but Bjork is?), but they're on Warp (which has to count for something, although I don't think anyone would ever have tried to say that Vincent Gallo was IDM...), and their new album is also really good. Anyway. On Mon, Nov 16, 2015 at 11:56 AM, mehmet.ismail85@googlemail.com < mehmet.ismail85@gmail.com> wrote:

new OPN is, i find, just astounding. following RPlus7 with this. the guy is bold. he wanted to go bigger and he did. really toes the ling between abstraction and structure in a way that few achieve. i was actually hoping he was going to go even more 'pop'! for me, the 2nd half of the album is just stacked with hits. 'animals' is my absolute jam right now. crushing track. cheers to warp for allowing dudes like Lopatin to just focus on music. so much meticulous time and love in his work. seeing him live this friday in NYC. very stoked!!! and sticky drama seems to me the new era's 'come to daddy'?! Thank you guys for opening the discussion on this album. Like Bruno and probably a few, I need more listenings but I feel there is something. It happened before for other releases ; I persevered and eventually loved them. I guess it’ll be the same with GOD. We’ll see… B.

Albums made by Oneohtrix Point sound to me like the haven't been finished or are incomplete. Maybe that I will start to appreciate them in a couple of years from now. Thats what sometimes happens... but right now I don't like any of them. G.O.D. reminds me of: 'Are You an Axolotl' by Nautilus with some good and a lot of bad tracks. Wim Vogel
