Mauver:
In order, no it is not worth picking up. And yes it is a departure from
Soup, hence my answer to question 1. Like much of the ridiculous output from
Skam in recent times, most of the tracks on Mauver (including the
galactically stupid Mauver itself featuring Dennis Bourne) are somewhat less
than essential. The one track that maybe makes this ep worth having is
Vespers, which is very much more in the ambient style of Soup, but that's
it.
I heard it rumoured (was it on this list?) that Mr. Fitton has completed a
new album to be released soon, also in a more experimental style. Given that
Soup is also one of my favourite albums, I await it's arrival with bated
breath.
