Completely off topic but I know some of you out there know the answer to this one: An MP3 encoded Mono @ 44khz or Stereo at 22khz? I know the difference between the two as far as fidelity etc. But from a technical standpoint, which should *sound* better? Many thanks - sorry for the OT post. I know there has been a lot lately. Mono @ 44khz. A degradation in sound quality will be a lot more noticeable than a mono recording. Isn't there a track on Autechre's "EP7" that's in mono? I wonder how many people noticed. Probably a lot less than those who'd notice if the recording was in 22khz! -- Mark Stevens http://www.headspin.clara.net/ --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
