i recent saw FSCK for sale by Farmer's Manual, on cd, and am wondering what it sounds like. Some people on here seem to like them... and it has appealing packaging aestetics. I also recently saw a v/vm compilation cd with some huge number of groups on it, including kid606, and was wondering what it's like... i've listened to some fantastic 7"s by v/vm at mondo kim's, but haven't bought any because they're all really expensive, like $12.99 for a double 7" of Falco remixes (genius!), or $8.99 for a "lion el glitchie" 7", which is also genius... this cd's at $20, so basically, is it worth the bucks? tangentally, i must say, as a fan of harsh noise and of aphex twin etc, i'm really happy to have finally discovered this apparently vast scene of people making music that bridges the two genres... cool. anthony __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? It's like computer hard disc contents: a bunch of clusters, much of which contain binary garbage; occasional bits of structure here and there; higher cylinders are empty (identical tracks for a few seconds each with merely a few clicks). Read 'man fsck' on a Unix machine thoroughly, then buy the album. -- Stay tuned, MhZ mailto:mookid@sigent.ru ----------- What makes us so bitter against people who outwit us is that they think themselves cleverer than we are. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
