i really liked it. song 8 particularly stands out in my mind as having a very nice modulating melody. i was very impressed by the packaging...i could have sworn it was an archers of loaf album...=). it was a very eclectic album, i thought, meaning, it didn't just concentrate on one style of electronic production. there were lots of flavours involved with this album. will was right on with the recommendation. there's some very strong rdj/ae/fkstng influence happening here.. all in all, i was impressed. if you see it, pick it up. phat, shaun --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Please, people. I watched the debates last night myself. Intelligent discussion of politics is a good thing. But this is not the place for it. This is an international list discussing Intelligent Dance Music (whatever that is), not politics. I've seen no attempt at trying to tie the topic of the United States Presidential Debate into IDM (probably because there is no connection). So, please - remember that the majority of us on this list don't want to see this discussion continued here. I'm sure there are listmembers who could suggest an appropriate alternate forum. Thanks, Bill obIDM: I just finished listening to Tadd Mullinix's "Winking Makes a Face" for the second time. I'm much more impressed this time around. Last time, I was turned off by what I took to be random, excessive DSP abuse. This time, I didn't find it quite as in-your-face, it was more in the background supporting the arrangement and composition (which is quite good). Those who like Schematic's electronic hip-hop or Aphex/Autechre/Funkstorung DSP'd electronic music would like this a lot, I think. -- http://www.chromedecay.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

In light of Alex Reynold's recent post, I hereby withdraw this statement. I'll be sure to pass on your sentiment when I check out the "sex, drugs, and DSP" tour tonight (Funkstorung, Datachi, 606, pluramon).
