Hello. I'm seeking to jump into the vast drum n' bass pool and hope to fish out the more atmospheric drum n' bass, which is the kind I like....and hope that some of you IDM'ers will declare some of the better discs out there. First, some of what I like: MyBloodyValentine.....-> which leads to drum n' bliss such as accelera deck, sweet trip, color filter, dropbeat label, some Hrvatski(particularly Ghatham, Piano, and Patience (although I like all...hi Hrvatski :))...also the more blissed out electronic/dance like Cex, Marumari, BoC, Arovane, Seefeel (Isan's remix on the warp comp. is soo good!), etcetera.....I like blissed out wavering synths, wallz of noise, and smooth beats, uptempo or down...... I'm doing a radio show every saturday night...and this is the only music I can get excited about spinning/lost in.......Suggestions for further listening.....pleasseee!! I wanna reallly floor people! Music that gives goosebumps...peace, Jamie Mash Exp. Beefcake. Hailing from Germany on the Hymen lable. warm soft strings and atmospherics occasionally punctuated by spastic drill 'n' bass and an assortment of ker-plunks. Highly reccomended, although the tone is generally quite melancholy. Ebola np: beefcake

this antiorp/m9ndfukc/f1f0 person/organization/entity is amazing. i bought one of their software products and it is the most obnoxious app i have ever had the pleasure of running. talk about using the User Interface against the user ... sheer genius and quite a statement of just how much one's own computer can be used against one. also visiting any of their web-sites (they seem to change often) is always a rare treat ... i have never seen a java applet used to completely render a machine useless in quite such a beautiful way.

I think so, yes... Its quite strange. 99 tracks of sample soup occasionally coalescing into a coherent rhythm or smearing into ambience. Strange and difficult. Very "computer-generated," as if the mind behind the piece is actually silicon. Ebola np: neotropic "Mr. Brubakers..."

Sounds like Biosphere - Cirque (Touch) might be right on the money.. moody, dubby, intense ambient with drum'n'bass overtones. Cold yet warm.. fantastic stuff. dave -- Dave Parkin dave@thunk.org.uk --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
