Radiohead's new album, Kid A, is going to be heavily electronic, and you will all be talking about it. 'tis the future of IDM as you didn't know it could ever be, boys and girls. :jason (ecux) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I adored Radiohead without them being electronic. They're not just an ordinary rock band - they have feelings woven in their tracks - intellegent rock I dare to say. Let's wait for something new from them. Alien np: Matmos mp3s - I like them! 8) -----Original Message----- From: Cichli@aol.com [mailto:Cichli@aol.com] Sent: Tuesday, September 12, 2000 11:18 AM To: idm@hyperreal.org Subject: [idm] Radiohead (NOT off topic) Radiohead's new album, Kid A, is going to be heavily electronic, and you will all be talking about it. No, it's some decent synth plonkings mostly ruined by this guy's terrible, terrible falsetto singing. I like the instrumental tracks enough, but homeboy really needs to try a new vocal angle. It grates my nerves like a food processor after about 5 seconds. I'm totally at a loss how anyone can be that into his voice. I guess it's relatively 'intelligent,' but mostly it just sounds like more plodding rock music to me. Still, they're head and shoulders above most bands that sound like that. I do like their stickers and t-shirts and general graphic design angle though. Their slogans and little diagrams are all very cute. ---- "A typewriter is more architectural than all those building projects which win prizes at academies and competitions." - Giacomo Balla [http://spof.net] --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
