Picked up the Senor Coconut CD this weekend and all i can say is I AM IN AWE. This is truly a work of genius. Not only does the music rule, the concept of the piece works on so many levels. The least of which is that the music is presented as if it is "live" instrumentation, but was actually completely constructed in its entirety from samples (except for the vocals of course). Anyway I've only heard one other Atom Heart album, and I wasn't too impressed with it (this was about two years ago) ... I don't remember the title of the CD, but it was completely brown in color. Well, actually the fact that it is produced from samples is pretty obvious - although there are no synthesizers or exaggerated digital effects, it doesn't sound like a live band at all. There are so many repeating loops and peculiar production textures on here that it immediately identifies it as a contemporary digital production.
