Yeah, that's the idea - two grooves on one side of the record. I
know someone who used to have the Monty Python record, and it claimed
to be three sided, since there were three different programs. But
they made it so there was more like an 80-20 chance of getting one
side by screwing with the run-in groove. And so at the beginning of
the much-more-likely groove one of the Pythons whined "oh, not this
side again, play the OTHER side".
I'd assume that most other people would make it about a 50-50
chance, though. Having jumped into this thread midway, which 7"
prompted this question?
