3 things: 1. how's the hallucinator album "landlocked"? Is there more to this than the textbook chain reaction release? how does it compare to the CR releases by say, vladislav delay or monolake? 2. The Venetian Snares album <printf:/"shiver in eternal darkness"> is too phat not to be mentioned on the list yet again. In feel and mood this reminds me of Download's "Charlies Family", specifically in the use of samples to create a genuinely creepy mood--of course where key and goettel put washes of noise, aaron funk inserts creatively structured and very rockin drum n bass madness, nicely sending a variety of sounds throuhg his sequencers, not just the same old drum samples. puts panacea's laughable "i'm so eevil and dark (and fat)" posturing to shame. 3. How did the term "jungle" come to mean what it does now? it seems to be a rather unfitting word. choralone5 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
