Funny. I have that same memory connected with Tri Rep++. It was the first EVER Ae I'd heard (later came to *love* Incunabula and Amber after that) but when I spotted Tri Rep in-store my eyes popped out in disbelief (this is a few years ago in South Africa) and as they had no listening station, I had the guy play it out over the shop system... and we all stood there going "what IS this?" I didn't buy it then and there - came back for it some weeks later (the solitary copy they had was still there and waiting for me) and duly grew to adore it - especially the bonus EP's.
