so speaking of orphaned deejay selek, has everyone heard this now and what
did you think?
i figured it would be similar to the soundcloud dump but probably his
personal 'best of' and, i feel like that's exactly what it was. i enjoyed
all the tracks, some more than others, the mastering job, comparing these
to the soundcloud mp3s, they sound a million times better.
i think its a very funky, groovy, off-kilter ep that, although reflecting
an 'older' afx sound, its just fucking great tracks that only he could
bring us, in 2006 or today. i like how all the particular tracks sort of
fit together for this ep as well, something i think a lot of people
overlooked about computer controlled acoustic instruments, forgetting to
also look at it as a 'whole' which i think is a big thing for afx.
i tihnk he enjoys arranging albums like mixtapes as much as making the
music in the first place.
