just to add my 2c: if you think discs are cheapest in the us, you aren't taking into account the canadian exchange rate. the most i've seen a cd (sinlge disc, basic release) for at a&b sound (great for cds, but no vinyl :()is around $22cdn (~$15usd). most new major label releases (but who buys those?) are $12.99cdn (~$9usd). of course the downside is that since our dollar is so worthless we all get paid less than americans. the downside is that since a&b sound only exists in western canada, you will never get to see 1/10th of the artists that you buy releases for live. (major props to ninja tune for getting kid koala all the way out to victoria though, it was so nice, i saw him twice). and in attempt to get idm content up, will Hex or UB & O be doing any touring in this neck of the woods soon? i gotta get my count of ninjas seen live up (currently sitting at 10). wait, i've allready seen Hex live. oh well. i'll go again. oh yeah, and release a kid koala live album. cheers
