One more bigass muthafuggin comp out right now is the Sonar 2000 comp, which is a 4xcd for around US$25, and it's got tracks from - well shit - just about everyone, from Crank to Herbert to Autechre to Chicks on Speed to Otomo Yoshihide to SuperCollider to Kit Clayton...! Not just a souvenir/document of the festival, it's an amazing sampler - you're guaranteed to discover *something* new.... I'd have to agree with this - haven't heard the 2000 edition yet, but the '98 and '99 kick major ass as far as showcasing a wide range of different styles goes, loosely grouped per CD. I know that "we" (dance/rave/electronica fans) are targeted with compilation fodder which is often of questionable taste, but these Sonar's generally deliver.
