Ack! I'm sorry to see Jeff has fallen victim to hideous background syndrome. You have to copy the text off of the reviews page and paste it into notepad (or some other equally horrible solution) just to read it. However, his music is much better than his web-pages. I picked up the latest release, A Psuedo-Steady State on U-Cover. Very different to his self-titled album, much more varied and laid-back with lots of acoustic samples and live-sounding drums. (Strangely it's actually released under the name L'Usine ICL perhaps to emphasise this difference in style) Actually I confess I didn't like it much at first but it's one of those things that grows and grows and now I love it - and I think that "growing" process is a definite plus in favour of it. Highly recommended, snap it up while you can. Just wanted to add I finally got my copy of PSS and I think it's great. The music isn't as straight-ahead melodic IDM as the s/t album, but it's always great to see an artist progress into more complex territory. I think this LP is contains music that's a little less accessible - more soundscapes and dspness (but not in an indulgant way :) -Gil --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
