Styrofoam's (aka Arne Van Petegem, yes he's from Belgium and so am I) "The
Point Misser" CD/LP on Morr Music is an absolute masterpiece !
Well I didn't expect anything else after seeing/hearing a brilliant live
concert here in Ghent ...
It has everything I love about IDM : nice melodies, crunchy beats, looped
vocal samples in the background, that "analogue" warm sound ...
It combines the best of Schematic, Toytronic, Worm Interface, Pluxus,
D'Archangelo, Fuckarma, ... to name only a few ...
Oh yes : it made me hit that "repeat" button on my CD player and that was a
LONG time ago ...
My favourite IDM record this year so far (and it will be me number 1 at the
end of the year, unless Richard Devine ...)
Check it out boys and girls !
