Anybody know of a website with a complete tour itinerary or at least any LA date? Or is it not a tour and just a single date?

I would be interested in finding this out too regarding any SF dates. The studio K7 site makes mention of touring and has a schedule with German dates back in May, but nothing about upcoming US shows... If anyone knows anything about this, please post it to the list or whatever... t h a n k s ! :: e v a n k. s t o n e :: r e c o m b i n a n t ------------------------------ :: mailto:evan@mmlive.com :: http://www.metro.net/estone :: http://www.mp3.com/recombinant (coming soon) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Does Funkstorung still have this lousy MC touring with them? He almost spoiled their gig @ Sonar and my brother witnessed the same thing at Roskilde festival. I?ve seen a few embarassingly bad d&b emcees but this one might have been even worse (can?t remember his name). _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. They didn't have the MC on stage with them at the LA date tonight, so maybe they don't have him at all. It was just them, their tables, a laptop, a MD machine, another box that has me curious, and a whole lot of bliss. As for the peculiar machine - I think it might have been a Kaoss Pad? It looked silver, but it had all the ins and out coming out vertically from the top, like one of those Moogerfooger Control things, not out the back panel like most other gear I've seen. Absolutely brilliant set - lots of bleepy/glitchy hip hop that I wish I knew where to buy, along with some of their own tracks and remixes. Michael said that one was a remix of a Speedy J track, it has the sample "Something for your mind" and was worth the price of admission alone (Sonic D will get this l'il joke). I recognized a couple tracks from Skampler and a Hell Interface track to end with/segue into DJ Rap's glorious set. She let it go into the vocals for about a minute, then switched tracks and continued to rinse us all out. She was seriously into Funkstorung's set, though, dancing around and smiling for a good 10 minutes or so before she started spinning - I was pleasantly surprised that she dug them so much. If only everyone else in the place understood that you CAN dance to Funkstorung.... Dieselboy followed her, the three acts actually were a lot more cohesive than you might think, and the ladies' junglist massive was in effect like I've never seen before. I don't know if it was the "I Heart My DR" sticker on the Funkstorung record box or the presence of DJ Rap, but something brought a bunch of junglistas out. I wish they came out more often 8^) Anyways, go see the tour, fear not a sucka MC. Oh, and lots of people were using vocal expression to communicate their appreciation to Funkstorung, cranky bootleg junkies beware. Exhausted, Ryan ps. Biggest of thanks to Sonic D for the vinyl! I'd throw myself in front of a flying blimp for you! ------------ From: "Ville Hyv–nen" <willepetteri@hotmail.com> Subject: Funkstorung tour Message-ID: <LAW2-F206dusluCBcKf0000011e@hotmail.com> Does Funkstorung still have this lousy MC touring with them? I saw 'em in Denver Monday night and they dropped this track -- fucking excellent track, esp how they were tweaking the fuck out of the first part of the rest of the sample - the "bo" (pronounce "bah") from "body and soul".... There were only 20-25 people left by the end, but they came up to the bar and hung out and talked with everyone. Very cool guys. Excellent show. I think they were using a MIDI controller, and that silver box might have been the master mixer between the turntable mixer and the laptop.... -- wallace winfrey wally@hyperreal.org 'cause organizational skills kills more devils than bullets --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
