I had the same initial reaction the first few times i listened to EP7. In
fact, I felt that I couldn't listen to it comfortably until I had completely
familiarized myself with it for at least 5 or 6 times. Then after many, many
times of comfortably listening to it, I REALLY started to HEAR it. I've sat
and studied the composition of those tracks and to my complete amazement, I
came out of that having a completely new perspective on that album. Now each
time I listen to it, it is like a new experience with new layers of music
that move to the forefront. You can listen to it 3 or 4 times in a row and
hear it differently each time depending on what you pay attention to. I'm
curious what the next project will be like because I do miss the more
contained melodies of their previous material. Does anyone have any
projections as to what we'll see next?
