can somebody tell me where i can find some lowfish samples from (the as yet unreleased) "eliminator"? also, any towa tei fans out there? i picked up the new "last century modern" cd a couple days ago. i think it's his most solid output to date. filled with funkadeliciousness. it's got everything from hiphop to idm to jungle to house to cha-cha and back, all filtered through the usual TT spacey lounge-funk. recommended. nub --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

i recall listening to his earlier material, "Museum of Sounds", quite funky! kinda surprising to find his bossa nova version on Hall & Oates "Private Eyes" ;-) so, how does "last century modern" compare to "museum of sounds"? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

it's different but same. thankfully there's less hip-hop/R&B, which i thought detracted from "sound museum" (except for that fucking cool Biz Markie beatbox joint), and a bit more of a jungle/dnb flavor on a couple tracks. but i think his melodies and the way he plays with samples is similar, and still very good. there's also some chill female vocals thrown in on several tracks (as usual) but they are used more as samples and less as songs, which i like. pick it up just for the guy saying "congratulations... on the finest... turn... table in the world!" over a cha-cha beat. solid. nub np. Kevin Saunderson DEMF archives from groovetech.com. fun stuff at about minute 19. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
