If you like UK Detroit-influenced "techno" from 93-95, you'll like this a lot. Adam --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Wish I knew. I have two things by Russ, a remix of Shambala on As One - Reflections on Reflections and Peace For Thought on one of the New Electronica comps and they're both totally amazing, beautiful tracks. What other stuff would you recommend? Also, what's worth getting on his label, Ferox? Hey again Ross, This is an amazing LP of intricate spacey electronic treatments by (possibly) one of the more underrated producers around. This sits nicely in the ambient zone. I don't think its on GPR. My copy is on Input Neuron Muzique which also had Luke Slater's Morganistic project on it (wondering what other good stuff there is on this INM label). Its got a great classic shot of Robert Moog in front of an array of analog electronic equipment. FYI: Input Neuron Muzique was the more techno-oriented sublabel of GPR. So, in reality, Voltage Control WAS on GPR. Aside from the Morganistic album, the only other release of note on INM was an album by Roupe. -->-Lance---- PO Box 450715 Westlake, OH 44145 United States --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Anyone know what the deal was with Magnetic North and Dave Clarke? I'm sure I read somewhere that he lost control of it and didn't like some of the signings (Russ Gabriel I think?). btw. has Dave Clarke made any records other than remixes recently? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I know Dave Clarke started the Magnetic North label in 1992.

I remember reading some guy Steve Simmonds ran the label. I don't know if he overtook it or not.

Recently, no not that I am aware of. It seems like he has just been remixing. I know he remixed Underworld and Leftfield. I'm sure there have been a lot of other remixes. The Demagnetized comp had some pretty nice tunes on it. I remember the Cristian Vogel tune was pretty crazy. And Woody McBride's - Rattlesnake was a good acid stomper. I think Rattlesnake might be the only tune I like from him. I haven't been reading this Russ Gabriel thread, but has anyone mentioned that he ran Ferox, etc. There is a pretty good Russ Gabriel 10" on Planet e. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
