A brief introduction of Accelera Deck:
Chris Neely began his first musical journeys playing guitar in a multitude
of bands, in and around Birmingham, but mostly just for themselves. In 1995
Chris was playing in a band signed to micro-indie label Artica Records and
was recording some tracks for a single when disaster struck and a fire layed
claim to all their equipment. With a bit of insurance money, Chris purchased
a guitar, 4-track, and a drum machine. Those first recordings were made
under the name Audio Wishe and a few months later Chris purchased a
sequencer and sampler, it is around this time that Chris began recording
Accelera Deck tracks, experimenting with beats and guitars. In 1997 Chris
completed an EP and an album for Endorphin Records, and has since recorded
numerous 7" and 12" singles (also as Exhalera Deck) for labels such as
Blackbean, Rocket Racer & Morr Music. Chris has also taken advantage of CDR
technology and releeased two very limited full-length recordings on this
media. A prolific songwriter whose work ranges from drum and bliss to mego
style experimentation, puts some tracks down for his third proper album. It
shows a new approach to texture and rhythm, yet maintains all the elements
that made Accelera Deck unique over the last few years.
