I have a bunch of releases from them and they are all excellent but my favorites is their Beautronics cd on the Tugboat label followed by the new Salamander cd. Here are the Isan release i can remember offhand... . Isan: damil 85/cubillo 7" (Wurlitzer Jukebox) . Isan: titled not tithed 7" (Bad Jazz) . Isan/tin Foil Star split 10" (Atomic) . Isan: betty's lament 7" (Bad Jazz) . Isan: beautronics cd (Tugboat) . Isan: parochi 7" (Static Caravan) . Isan: digitalis LP (Liquefaction Empire) . Isan: dampen 7" (Elefant) . Isan: salamander cd/lp (Morr Music) There is also a split 7" flexi and all the comp appearances Lance mentioned (just check their website), and also Digitalis is coming out on CD on Darla next year, so you can have the horizontal, not vertical format (hooray!) I want to echo what Lance said about "Beautronics": that record just blew me away (couldn't play anything else for a day or two), and "Digitalis" is excellent as well, but "Salamander" didn't have the same impact at all. I don't think it's that Isan doesn't sound as fresh as they did for the first two albums, I think it's that the new album is lacking something. Out of their 7"s they mostly seem to have one good track and one not as good track. Split 10" is hit and miss as well. But Isan are on to something. BTW, if you like Isan, check out B. Fleischmann's "Poploops For Breakfast", which is absolutely stellar and is also available on CD. Kind of like a friendlier, warmer Pole. I wholeheartedly agree with Matt about the brilliance of the B. Fleischmann releases. I was actually just talking with a fellow listmember earlier today about his releases. Poploops for Breakfast will be one of my top 10 for 99. Here is the info on both of B Fleischmann's releases: . B. Fleischmann: poploops for breakfast cd/lp (Charhizma/Morr Music) Tracks: - slope - the flow - breakfast at rhiz - drops - the red saloon - nightly - le martin - s - slumber* - timid digestion* - chad f.* (* tracks exclusive to cd) . B. Fleischmann: sidonie mini-lp (Morr Music) Tracks: - sidonie - min sad star - min whirr - min - where have you been - min sleep You can hear RA bits from both B. Fleischmann releases at: http://www.mdos.at/labeldetail.php3?pid=1399 and, if you can read German, you can find more info on Fleischmann + 1 mp3 tracks at: http://www.charhizma.com Hope this helps! -->-Lance--- lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

. Phonem: phonetik 12" (Morr Music 04) Tracks: - pact - phonetik - blonde hone - bitstream I dont have the Lali Puna on Morr Msic but I blieve it was released here in the states in conjunction with Darla & Hausmusik. The cd/lp is called Tridecoder. I believe there is also a Lali Puna release on the K-raa-k label. -->-Lance--- lance@inaudible.com p.o. box 450715 westlake, ohio 44145 united states --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

agreed, but i think "sidonie" is the one to check out - for "sleep". i'd recommend any of the releases on morr music -- as mentioned, the isan lp. i'm sure someone mentioned the accelera deck release earlier, with two arovane mixes. only heard a bit of phonem, really nice... haven't heard the lali puna though. sorry lance -- tracklistings for phonem + lali puna if you have em...?

Some info and tracklistings of Lali Puna. This German band is a project lead by Valerie Trebeljahr assisted by Markus Acher (Notwist, village of Savoonga etc.) and Thomas... from ISO 68. Music flowes between Stereolab, Mouse on Mars and Suicide with the focus on popstylish tracks alltough almost everything is electronic and has some really edgy dancetracks on it. It's one of Suction's favourite releases if i'm reading their website right, and mine off course:) They released another 2 7"s before the lp which was Lali Puna: Reihenhausmusik series 7" (Hausmusik) and "The Safe Side" 7" on (K-RAA-K)³ tracklisting LALI PUNA: Tridecoder lp/cd 6-0-3 Rapariga da banheira antena trash system on everywhere & allover toca-disco's press my tummy fast forward superlotado -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: Lance @ Inaudible <lance@inaudible.com> Aan: suction@home.com <suction@home.com> CC: idm@hyperreal.org <idm@hyperreal.org> Datum: vrijdag 24 december 1999 23:26 Onderwerp: Re: (idm) Isan/B Fleischmann
