The first person who can give me a completely "objective" opinion on anything gets my car, my studio, and an all expenses paid vacation to grenada. quantum physics chucked the idea of "objectivity" out the window decades ago. mt --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

facts are objective. here's one: 3 is greater than 2. an opinion on facts can be true or false (in accordance or not with reality). it is my opinion that 3 is greater than 2. what kind of car is it?

I suggest you try to attain an understanding of quantum physics before you go spouting misrepresentations of it. i do not know of any serious physicist who doubts the existence of objective reality, and thus, facts. the copenhagen interpretation is no longer the vogue, and the role of the observer in determining outcomes is diminished. there are several interpretations of the data, like transactional theory, which do not require a wholesale rewriting of metaphysics and logic. -J. yo eric. wussup? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

False. The fact that observations are observer-dependent does not imply that the reality behind the observations is subjective. Unless one is a solipsist. In which case there's no sense arguing with you, since you don't exist. 3 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
